Dragonwell tea is one of the top ten famous teas in China. It belongs to green tea. It is produced in the mountains around Longjing Village, West Lake, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province.
When Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty visited the West Lake in Hangzhou, he praised the Dragonwell Tea in the West Lake and sealed the 18 tea trees in front of the Hugong Temple under Shifeng Mountain as "Royal Tea".
The climate here is mild, with abundant rainfall and diffuse sunlight. The soil is slightly acidic, with deep soil layer and good drainage. The forest is lush and the stream runs constantly. The annual average temperature is 16℃, and the annual precipitation is about 1500mm. The superior natural conditions are conducive to the growth and development of tea trees. The tea buds germinate continuously and the picking time is long. It can pick about 30 batches throughout the year, which is almost the largest number of picks in the tea industry.
